Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon supports the Sean Edwards Foundation at the 24h of Dubai

As part of the race of the 24h of Dubai, Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon is intensively supporting the Sean Edwards Foundation, which is dedicated to the safety and the promotion of young talents in motorsport.

For Abu Dhabi Racing and Black Falcon it was the third time they could celebrate a victory in the 24h of Dubai together with Sean Edwards in the last two years. The death of the extremely talented, cheerful and charismatic racing driver leaves a big gap and this loss places a big shadow on the successful year 2013 for Abu Dhabi Racing and Black Falcon.

Shortly after his accident, ideas of dedicating Edwards in the form of a foundation grew, and so non-profit goals in his name were pursued. With lots of energy Sean Edwards mother Daphne McKinley overcame all the hurdles to start with the foundation as soon as possible.

The goals of the Sean Edwards foundation are increasing the safety in motorsports as well as the promotion of young talents. Both tasks were also very close to Sean’s heart during his lifetime.

The website of the foundation www.seanedwardsfoundation.com is still under construction. But the possibility to donate directly already exists.

Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon will support the Sean Edwards Foundation intensively during the 24h of Dubai. Both Mercedes-SLS AMG GT3 race cars with the starting numbers 1 and 2 will wear the logo of the foundation on the starting grid of the Dubai Autodrome – hopefully to a new, third win in a row.

In addition, several drivers will donate make their own donation to the foundation, as well as the partner Abu Dhabi Racing and Black Falcon will support the activities of the foundation with donations. More information of the foundation will be posted on the channels of Black Falcon during the event as well as in the Dubai Autodrome itself.
